David Cheek

David is the Co-Founder of The Meridian Group (TMG) and is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the firm as its Chairman and Managing Partner. David has over 40 years of industry experience.

Prior to founding TMG in 1993, he managed and sold a REO portfolio for Riggs Bank. For eight years before Riggs, he managed the development operations for a large DC development firm, Peterson Companies. David began his career in 1979 in the real estate division at Prudential as an investment manager.

He has served on various boards including the University of Virginia Darden School Foundation, the University of Virginia Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington Foundation. David is a member of the Urban Land Institute and NAIOP.

David received his B.A. from Centre College and M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
